I get asked all the time where to find books, manuals and information on various topics related to your PIP Sites. Everything from making changes on your own, adding banners, editing html, Pay Per Click and Adwords, content, blogging, promotion, traffic and the list goes on and on.

Well I wanted to provide a page that has links to references that I feel are of value. All of these I have personally purchased and read or use on a regular basis. I will continue to add to the lists as I think of them so check back often or send me an e-mail with a recommendation.

  • The entire "For Dummies" series is no insult -- these are consistently some of the best introductions to their topics available. For beginners, even using an HTML editor is daunting. In clear language and with a dose of humor at every turn, the authors lead you through creating a web page, making it shine and taming some of the trickier aspects of web pages like CGI programming. The cartoons sprinkled throughout the book are marvelous. Don't miss the "Top Ten HTML Dos and Don'ts"
• Sam's Teach Yourself HTML in 24 hours
  • Sams Teach Yourself HTML and XHTML in 24 Hours is a carefully organized well-written tutorial that teaches the beginning Web page author just what he needs to know in order to get a Web page up in the shortest time possible. The book covers only those HTML and XHTML tags and technologies that are likely to be used on a beginner's Web page, and it is organized in a logical step-by-step order that reflects the natural progression in a new Web page author will follow in developing a Web site.
• How to Do Everything with HTML
  • Get straight to the essentials of Web site development with of this step-by-step goldmine. Learn to build your Web site using HTML and XHTML basics. Then, this easy-to-follow guide takes you through adding images, using tables for data and layout, creating framesets, enhancing visuals with style sheets, embedding objects, and even adding interactivity with forms.

• Perry Marshall's Difinitive Guide to Adwords
• Adwords, Adwords, Adwords... Without a doubt the leading guru on Adwords is Perry Marshall. This link will take you to his FREE 5 day Adwords course. He is the King of Adwords. I have been reading his newsletters since Day 1 of my Internet Marketing career. By far a must read newsletter to have in your arsenal.
• Google Cash
• The quintessential book on Google Adswords and Pay Per Click Advertising. This is the first PPC book I ever bought. It was written a while back but the information is still of great value and that is why it satys at the top of the best seller lists. A must have for anyone involved in website promotion and pay per click advertising.
• The Rich Jerk
  • This book has been considered a bit controversial among Internet Marketers for both its writing style as well as some of the techniques it describes. I mention it here mostly because of its "Outside the Box" thinking and strategy. This guy really is a Rich Jerk. Take what you can from it.
• The Lazy Pig
  • On the other side of the spectrum is The Lazy Pig. With some rather ingenious thoughts and methods on website promotion and the use of Adsense on yoru site, the Lazy Pig too is mentioned here for its unique approach to website promotions.

• Google Adsense Secrets Volume II
• Just like Google Cash is the quintessential book on Google Adswords and Pay Per Click Advertising, Joel Comm and Google Adsense Secrets is the Bible when it comes to Adsense advertising on niche sites like yours. Joel Comm is regarded as the father of Adsense. He is constantly updating and enhancing his techniques with each new addition that Google makes to their system. Joel doesn't just write about Adsense, he makes his living with it.
