Moving your website from one hosting company to another is tricky. You could LOSE EVERYTHING!

I am not trying to be an alarmist. I am just trying to give you the truth and the severity of what could happen if you do it wrong.

The problem is that you have to transfer the DNS registry of your domain and once you do that, there is no going back. If you don't have everything you need from your old host, there is no way to go back and get it.

If you have made any changes to your site at all, then you will need to move it over with all of the support files. If you have a Wordpress site, then you need to export all of your content and settings, re-install Wordpress on your new host and then import all of your settings and upload all of your files from the old host. It has to be done in a precise order.

I will work with Pat from the Plugin Profits Helpdesk to get your website setup and transfered over without losing any of your changes or content.To do that will take some time. Once you make your purchase for this service, you will be taken to a Thank You page where you will need to fill out some information for your existing host and possibly your Wordpress installation and any other changes you have had done as well. Once I receive that, I will backup and download your entire site, then transfer the DNS registry. At that point I will notify Pat and she will setup your new account on the free hosting provided by Stone. She will let me know when that is done and then I will re-install and upload all of your site's content and systems. Once that is all done I will send you confirmation of it being complete. It could take 72 hours or more. Your site will not be down that long, in fact it should only be down for a few minutes to an hour tops. But the whole process will take a few days to complete.

I wish that I could afford to do this for no fee, but I can't. The sheer volume of people who need this done and the time required to do it is simply too much for me to do for free. I wish it were different, but it's not. Therefor I need to charge $20 per person to do this. That's the least I can do it for. In fact even at that price, I am cutting my normal hourly rate in half.
